The Summit County area is well desired my many who appreciate the mountain lifestyle and thus, there are many vacation homes and condos in the resort area.  With the close proximity to the Denver area, Summit County is one of the leading ski resort areas in the world.  Towns include Breckenridge, Keystone, Frisco, Copper Mountain, Silverthorne and Wildernest.  | Market Report April 2016.  LIV Sotheby's International Realty compared the first quarter of 2016 to the first quarter of 2015. The number of single family homes and condos was 351 in 2016, which is a 4.2% increase from 2015. The average days on market have decreased to an average of 154.  From January to March in 2016, 351 Summit County properties sold; 145 single family homes, 206 condos, townhomes and duplexes. The average price was $536,500 with a 96.8 percent sold price to list price average.  Over $170,000,000 of real estate sold.   In Breckenridge, the average price of single family homes increased 8.3% to $1.165.351. The average price per square foot was $351.00 with an average of 243 days on market. The highest priced single family home sale was sold at $5.675.000. This was 65 Penn Lode in the popular Shock Hill neighborhood. Nearly 50 single family homes sold. In the Breckenridge condo, townhomes, and duplex market, nearly 75 properties sold and the average price was $569,172 with an average price of $491 per square foot.  * The Keystone market also had a great first quarter with 45 property sales. There were four single family homes which sold; the highest priced home to sell was 95 Wild Irishman which sold for $1.925.000.


Market Report April 2016.  LIV Sotheby's International Realty noted a few first quarter points of interest. The average price in Dillon and Summit County increased over two percent. The average price in Keystone increased over nine percent and the average price in Frisco rose over 20 percent.  Another improvement was Breckenridge where the average price increased over six percent.
