Thanksgiving in Summit County, Colorado
This is year, why not take a visit to the Great Rocky Mountains and celebrate your Thanksgiving holiday in Summit County? All of the towns offer something for everyone! Visit one or visit all!
Breckenridge offers skiing, cross country skiing, and hosts an abundance of shopping and dining on Main Street. On Thanksgiving Day, hit the ski slopes and then stop in for a fantastic Thanksgiving Buffet offered from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm at Spencer's in Beaver Run Resort. A large variety of delicious offerings will include a carving station with prime rib and roasted turkey, a seafood display with shrimp, snow crab legs and salmon, entrees including fish, poultry and traditional side dishes, chef's selection of fresh salad and crudites, artisan breads with homemade soups, and holiday pies and cakes.
If you would like to take a break from the outdoors, treat yourself to a soothing spa at one of our several day spas including Soothe Spa on Peak 7 in Breckenridge, Keystone Lodge and Spa, and VIVE Float in Frisco.
The entire family may also explore the ski terrain at Copper Mountain. Copper Mountain has an awesome snowmaking system which is key for the Thanksgiving time of year. The terrain is top-notch for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. Copper Mountain does a great job of opening up most of its terrain by Thanksgiving. Once you have finished skiing, take a fabulous ride on the Alpine Coaster and then head over to the Village for Thanksgiving Dinner.
Another fun thing to do in Summit County this time of year is to head over to the Nordic Center in Frisco, which hosts an extensive trail system as well as a fun tubing hill for all ages! After some alpine exercise and excitement, head over to Pure Kitchen for a lovely dining experience. This is one of Frisco's newest restaurants that offer fresh salad and entrees including organic, grass-fed beef tenderloin, sesame-crusted wild-caught yellowfin tuna, and sweet potato lasagna.
Hop over to Keystone for some night skiing! There are several fantastic restaurants including Keystone Ranch, Ski Tip Lodge, the Alpenglow Stube, and the Bighorn Bistro and Bar.
