Keystone Kidtopia

Keystone Kidtopia, the resort’s kid festival is designed exclusively around them; a fun-packed, kid-friendly experience that the whole family can take advantage of on a daily basis. The hardest part is picking what activity to do first: from face painting sessions to daily fresh cookie hour, from visiting the world’s largest snow fort to Ripperroo’s Village Parade, plus spectacular fireworks every Saturday evening. The festivities take place in close proximity to the River Run Village neighborhood, home to exclusive communities such as Jackpine and Black Bear, Expedition Station, Silvermill, and Buffalo & the Dakota Lodge. Additional attractions include great shops and restaurants such as Paisanos, Wolf Rock Brewery, and Kikapoo Tavert.

Cross-Country Skiing at Keystone Nordic Center

Looking to offer your kids a different experience? Keystone’s Nordic Center offers more than nine miles of groomed cross country trails and access to more than 35 miles of nearby trails the whole family can enjoy. Find yourself and the family surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the White River National Forest while trying mountaintop snowshoe adventures, or take one of the many guided tours offered throughout this winter season. The area is also home to some of the most sought-after residences in West Keystone, a quiet, relaxing retreat with forested setting and stunning views as far as the eye can see. Properties include, Keystone Ranch, Soda Springs Townhomes, Northstar Townhomes, and Starfire Townhomes.

Chocolate Village

Another annual favorite, the festival starts on December 20th until January 8th, and it is not to be missed. This delicious event centers around the homemade creations of local pastry Chef Ned Archibald, and it has become a holiday tradition featuring more than 7,000 pounds of chocolate crafted into a miniature alpine village which includes a working chocolate gondola, cascading waterfalls, a 6-foot tall white chocolate Christmas tree along with chocolate presents and more. A special addition is incorporated every year so be sure to discover what is new this time around. Nearby residences include condo communities such as Lenawee, Lakeshore, The Seasons, Plaza Edgewater, and Decatur.
