One of the highest wine auctions in history!
Sotheby's recently auctioned off 20,000 of rare wines from Bill Koch. The auction resulted in nearly $22 billion. The highest bidders were able to bid via the internet, phone and on the auction floor. Bidders were from over 23 countries, and there were 20,000 bids placed.
Koch mentioned that he had nearly 43,000 bottles of wine in his cellar and wanted to share some of these with fine wine collectors around the world.
