I stayed at the Crystal Peak Lodge in November right after Breck opened for the 2010-2011 season. We arrived and proceeded to have 2.5 feet of snow dumped on us over the next two days....Wow. We had the resort to ourselves because it was so early in the season. Our two bedroom two bath condo (#7303) was beautiful. We enjoyed the kitchen and cooked in one night during a white-out. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. The baths were nice enough that I was taking pictures for my future bathroom remodel! I didn't find the bed to be super comfortable, but I like a hard bed and these were soft so to each their own. We enjoyed the hottub after skiing the first day. We also took advantage of the ski lockers to store skis rather than lugging them back to our room.

I imagine that this place would be very convenient for families as you walk out and there's the lift to Peak 7. Or, you can catch a short ride on the gondola to Peak 8. In any event, be prepeared for altitude sickness as this place is higher than most in Breckenridge. Drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol until you adjust.

My first trip to Colorado was amazing! The Breckenridge location is ideal. This new Lodge has amazing views out every window! Very friendly staff, nice billiard room w/flat screen, hot tub, mini pool, steam room, outdoor grill, outdoor fireplace & fitness center. Our unit had 2 master suites, large kitchen w/granite, s.s. appliances, stone fireplace & 3 flat screens! BEAUTIFUL! Also had heated indoor garage! We are setting up our next trip for the exact same time next year! Weather was good High 60 ish, low 45 ish. Had first snowfall on the snow caps. Very friendly staff! I give it a 9.8 out of 10!!!!! You can not go wrong with this choice in accommodations!!!
